- Try 1880 census in Ohio [Female b. Wales age 31] no hits, ( but see results of next search)
- Try [John b. Wales age 9] hit (only 1880 census is indexed by all names) Learn
George 34 in 1880 (versus 55 in 1900), Margaret, some of same children 20 years younger. (census taker spelled surname Randals)
- Why couldn't we find Margaret? Demonstrates - data base shortcomings or defective search algorithm (IE. on the computer side).
- Google search - [Census at Wales] Find Ancestry.com has every name index for 1871, 1861 and 1851 for Wales
- For this you will need Census from Great Britain. Ancestry.com By subscription or at many local libraries.
- Wales 1871. Can't find George Randal (age 26 +/-5) with Margaret & suitable family.
- Try [Charles, age 3 (b. 1868 +/-2)] Hit grandson in household with mother
Margaret Randall & two other siblings Harriet 2 and John 6 mos. Learn Margaret's mother is Ann Ruz (Rees) and many of Margaret's siblings.
- Tried [Ann Ruz in 1861] without success
- Tried 1861 on a son of Ann [William Ruz, b. 1852 +/-2. Hit. Learn parents
names are John Rees and Ann ( ) Rees. Also learn more older siblings as well
as those in 1871, IE. Ann 7 John 5, David 3.
- Tried Castle Garden Site for Immigration - no success (good for demonstrating Soundex)
- Tried World Connect [George Randle m. Margaret] bingo, two researchers. They don't know about the Welsh census records. But they know about some of Anne
Randle's siblings.
- Back to Heritage Quest Census to find siblings of Anne in OK Census - 1900 to 1930. Nephew named Holbrook - tie to brother-in-law of Anne Randle Holbrook.
