My most recent immigrant ancestors came nearly 150 years ago
- Little or no experience:
- New England
- Deep South
- Western States
- Colonial times and colonies (except Pennsylvania)
- Catholic or Jewish
- Researching Overseas
- In language other than English
- Single Family - ie. All Descendants of one man.
- Single Name
- My own research goals
- Substantiating the work of others.
- Extending known "Pedigrees" of my
grandchildren.
- Learning about the lives and times of my ancestors.
- Documenting my results for my descendants.
Dream - descendants won't have to repeat my work
Dream - grandchildren will get a sense of their
origins at a young age

Said another way - experience is the best teacher.
