Meeting Place - Swimming Area Lot in Chenango Valley State Park
From Binghamton, East on I88 to exit #3 (Port Crane and NY369). Left at bottom
of ramp onto NY369. About three miles make a left at sign Chenango Valley
State Park. At entrance building, keep left and proceed
to end of road at the swimming access parking area.
To Destination
- From lot Left following park road back to exit
- Just after building at park entrance Left on
Pigeon Hill Road Caution Very steep
- At bottom of hill, Left immediately crossing bridge
- Left at light onto NY12 and NY79
- Right continuing on NY79
- In Whitney Point at T, Left, cross bridge then Right at light to join route US11 - North through town
Return to Start
- Route US11 South to light at Jct NY79
- Left then immediate Right following NY79 South or East
- Left at T with Jct. NY12
- At light Right cross bridge, following NY79
- Right on Steed Road
- Right at Y on Marshman Road
- Left at T on Pigeon Hill Road
- Right at T to enter park then
- take the left access road to the end to parking lot

Note -
There is a entrance fee at CVSP which is waived for
cars whose driver is 62 and older. Before school dismisses,
and after Columbus Day entrance is free to all.
Some may prefer to park at the Port Crane fishing access
on NY369 just after passing under I88. Bicycle north on NY369
to left on Rodgers to enter the park and at T go left
to parking to meet other riders. This adds about 5 miles to the ride.
