Allmost all the "climbing" is really in a short grade of about 3% just past Owego Creek on 17C.
There are no hills of note, just a slow steady climb to Candor.
Meeting Place - Hickories Park
Hickories Park is off NY17C in east Owego, turn south at MacDonalds.
Coming from Binghamton area on NY17 take exit #65 to Owego, staying
to the left after crossing the bridge. At the bottom of the
ramp at the light, proceed directly ahead (cross NY17C) and
continue to the park.
To Destination
- From the park to Light at NY17C
- Left on NY17C - stay on 17C
- At Light/Courthouse continue Straight on Front Street
- At T Left on River Street
- On River Street keep Left staying on River Street
- River Street turns Right onto Canal Street
- At T Left on NY17C
- At Y, go Straight on Goodrich (by Zion Lutheran Church)
- Goodrich curves Right
- After crossing RR tracks Right on Glen Mary
- Continue straight on Glen Mary after 4-way stop.
- Left at Y onto Catatonk Road
- Right at T onto Catatonk Hill Road
- At T Left on NY96
- In Candor, Left following NY96
- Right on Mill Street
Return to Start
- Reverse Course on Mill Street
- Left after stop onto NY96
- Right at T continuing on NY96
- South on NY96 to Right on Catatonk Hill Road
- Left on Catatonk Creek Road
- Merge Right with Glen Mary
- At stop Left on Beecher Hill Road
- After crossing bridge, immediate Right on Cove Street
- Cove curves Left into West Avenue
- At light with NY38, Straight across NY38
- Stay to Right for Erie Street following the RR tracks
- At T Right to cross RR tracks
- Then immediate Left onto John Street
- At light Left onto NY17C
- At light (McDonald's corner) Right onto Hickories Park Road
- And into park.

- This ride can be made about three miles longer by continuing west on NY17C until the intersection of Glen Mary which is just after crossing over the RR tracks.
- Ride can be made another three miles longer on the return by
continuing on Glen Mary until Left at T with NY17C.
