Meeting Place - Vestal Rail Trail - East End

From Vestal Parkway take African Road North, then left into Navy Mall lot area, or continue to Old Vestal Road and enter additional rail trail parking at the SE corner of intersection.

To Destination

• Head west on Rail Trail
• At end jog Right then Left continuing on access road to light at Main Street.⁽¹⁾
• Left onto Main Street⁽¹⁾
• At first light Right on NY434
• At light, just before Service Area and McDonalds Left on Cross Street
• At T Right on Main Street
• Follow this staying Right at a Y
• At stop at Pennsylvania Ave Straight on Main St
• Left on Watkins
• Next Right on Holmes Ave
• Right at T onto Hilton and immediate stop at T
• Left onto NY434
• Next Right onto Marshland - cross bridge
• Continue to end (T at 434) just past NY17 underpass.

Return to Start

• Reverse course on Marshland
• Left at T with 434
• First Right on Hilton
• Immediate Left on Holmes
• At T Left on Watkins
• At T Right on Main Street
• At stop (Pennsylvania Ave) Straight continuing on Main St
• At stop, merge Right on 434
• Right on Old Owego Road
• At T with 434 merge Right and continue on 434
• At light⁽²⁾
• Just after light Right on Front Street
• At light Left on Main St
• At light continue Straight on Main St
• Next Right onto access road to Vestal Rail Trail
• Jog Right then Left onto Trail
• To end of trail

Notes -

• Note (1). You may prefer the Rail Trail extension. At light at Main Street, cross with light and turn Left onto trail extension. At end, Left to pass immediately under NY17. At stop (T), Right onto NY434 and continue to Service area and McDonalds. Left on Cross and continue following original cue sheet.

• Note (2). At light, a better alternate is to take the new part of Vestal Rail Trail. This avoids traffic at the 4-corners intersection. For the trail at the light turn Left, cross under NY17 Overpass, then Right onto trail. At trail end Right on sidewalk, to light. Left crossing Main St. and down access road to jog Right Left onto main Vestal Rail Trail. To end.
